Our Story

Tau Coffee began with a single store at Sammy Marks in Pretoria. What started as a passion for bringing great coffee to more people has grown over the years into several retail outlets.

From the beginning, our goal was simple: to bring artisan-quality coffee to new markets and create an experience that offered more than just a great cup of coffee. Along the way, we introduced complementary products such as refreshing slush and delicious popcorn, helping us create convenient, exciting spaces for our customers to enjoy.

As our business grew, so did our operations. From our warehouse in Edenvale, we supplied our own Tau Coffee stores with everything they needed to keep their businesses running smoothly. It was during this process that we noticed a gap in the market.

Many businesses similar to ours were facing the same challenge: sourcing the products they needed from multiple suppliers. Coffee from one supplier, packaging from another, and the rest of their essentials from several more. Running a business was complicated enough without having to manage ten different suppliers.
